One day, this guy at work put up a paper he had just proudly printed off the internet. It said we were all supposed to be very careful.

Whatever we did, if we saw a car driving at night we had to avoid flashing our headlights at them to signal their lights were off, because that was apparently the way the would-be gang members chose their victims.

I didn't win his friendship by quickly going to Snopes.com, typing "gang headlights" in the search field, printing my findings, and hanging my paper on the board next to his, but who knows? Maybe someone at work read my paper, then on the way home saw a car driving at night without its headlights, and signaled for the driver to turn on the lights. Maybe I even saved a life. Now, that's a fun thought.
